The hybrid option splits the school into groups which come into school on specific days of the week. This is to limit the number of people in the school and therefore limit the spread within the school.

Covid-19:

Hybrid Learning

On the days that one group may come into schools, it is up to the specific school what they would like the at-home group to be doing. Some schools have students working on asynchronous assignments while other schools have the students log onto meets and join the class that way.

What is my school doing?

Red Bank Regional has one cohort (group) go into school while the second cohort joins virtually from home. The hybrid option also gives the option for students to go all virtual if they do not feel comfortable coming into the building.

Pros:

*More children are brought back into the school

*A good way to phase everyone back into school

*If there is a Covid outbreak it is easier to quarantine one cohort than the entire school

Cons:

*Very stressful for teachers as they are now juggling students in school and at home

*Students may start to feel overwhelmed by the constant change of in school and at home

*Can also be very confusing
