Covid-19:
Fully Remote
The fully remote option is when a school is fully virtual for an extended period of more than just 14 days. Most schools do this if they are in a red zone, which means that they have greatly increased their number of Covid-19 cases in a short period of time. Some schools chose to start the year fully remote and give a date to when they will try to phase back in going into the building.

Most the decisions made about the reopening of schools are school specific.
What is my school doing?
Red Bank Regional has never gone fully remote for a period longer than 2 weeks. There have been a few instances where the cases have increased so the school decided to either shut down for a few days to see the next step or chose to close for 14 days.

Pros:
*Can be the safest option for places that have very high Covid cases
*Teachers are not juggling some students at home and others at school
*Children have a consistent routine of school at home
Cons:
*Students lose the social aspect of school
*Since people are so comfortable at home they could fall behind in school
*No structure
*No one to hold students physically accountable if a parent is not present at all time
